Corrie ten Boomhuis

"The hiding place" in Haarlem.  A transition house that hid Jews safely from Nazis. A must see while in Haarlem! It was a transition house that hid Jews safely from Nazis.

To visit this museum, you have to arrive before the scheduled viewing of the room. The schedule is posted on the museum door, which remains closed between viewings. Because the space is very small, they are strict about the 20 people max rule. My first attempt failed because there were far more than 20 people already waiting before the scheduled showing. So I arrived early for the next showing. Worth it!

Heartbreaking, inspiring, and eye-opening.
